Gallery: SF MOMA
San Francisco Sculpture Garden was designed by Jessen Architects, built by Vance Brown Construction and landscaped by CMG. This is a very special design that cleverly links the original museum to the top of an adjacent parking structure. It was difficult to build in such a narrow space while keeping the museum open. You can access the garden through a long exterior ramp or a staircase. They also built a indoor/outdoor cafe with a few benches surrounding the concrete tree planters. I was very happy to photograph this job, as I love Modern Art, and Modern Art Museums. When in Art school I visited all the Museum of Modern Art in Europe, plus a few famous one in the USA. |
