French photographer Bernard André graduated with a Masters Degree in Arts from the Sorbonne University in Paris in 1991.

A formal classical art education greatly influences Bernard's work in photography. He worked in Paris as a photographer shooting travel photography throughout the islands of the Indian Ocean for French magazines.

In 1992, he moved to California. He lives with his wife and two kids in the beautiful town of Woodside 30 miles south of San Francisco. Since starting his architectural and aerial photography business in the Bay Area, Bernard has photographed over 4000 projects for architects, builders, real estate developers, interior designers, high-end real estate agents, structural engineers & environmental firms.

Bernard's composition and vision combined with his lighting and digital photography techniques render a unique impression of the third dimension lost in this two dimensional medium.

His images not only show the scale of the architecture, the different textures, the juxtaposition of materials, but they also give the viewer the ability to feel and practically experience the space.

After 17 years of working in architectural photography, Bernard's images and style are still evolving. He is pleased with the industry switch to digital photography and he finds the digital processing capabilities and the very fine tuning of images in post production similar to the art of painting.

Bernard André is available to shoot assignments worldwide. His specialty is architectural & aerial photography. His pictures have appeared in travel and architectural magazines, advertisements, architectural books & covers, annual reports. He has won numerous awards for his clients. Bernard also shoots products for catalogues, annual reports and brochures, as well as portraits of executives in the Silicon Valley.

His photographs have appeared in Sunset, Architect and Business Week, advertisements, book covers and annual reports. Bernard has over 300 clients, including Hewlett Packard, Hilton and Sheraton Hotels and he feels fortunate to have been able to turn his passion for photography into a successful business.
